What is life without health?.... It's about lifestyle.

The benefits of a healthy lifestyle start with our decisions. Indeed the decisions we make affects the environment we place ourselves and the environment in which we live affects our behavior. How we cope with a positive or negative environment in the long run will affect our health. Living in a negative environment not only produces stress but other negative factors that will ultimately decide how our mind and body deal with that factor. Your genetic makeup will determine whether your body type will be an ectomorph, mesomorph, or an endomorph. Ectomorphs are usually skinny and lean and find it hard to gain weight. Mesomorphs are usually not too skinny nor too fat. Mesomorphs can easily lose and gain weight depending on their diet and lifestyle. Endomorphs are usually overweight or obese and usually have a tendency to put on more body fat than others.
            There are many ways to transform a person's life; one way to do so is by having a healthy lifestyle. According to dictionary.com lifestyle is "a way of life or style of living that reflects the attitudes and values of a person or group". In order to change a your lifestyle, you must have the right attitude. Having a positive attitude is crucial to transforming your lifestyle. Having a positive mindset suppresses negative thoughts that hinder your progress to a better lifestyle. One factor that affects our health is stress. Although stress is one of the diseases that lead to death among men and women, it is very manageable. One of the best ways to reduce your stress is to have good time management skills. Knowing how to better manage your time will provide you with the tools you need to live a healthy life.

            One of the most common ways to increase stress is your lack of sleep. Without sufficient sleep your mind can never be at rest. Sleeping allows your body, soul as well as your mind to be at peace with one another in a balanced state. Those who lack time management skills are usually living a stressful lifestyle. Being able to sufficiently manage your time will provide you with tools that will benefit your lifestyle. Time is not the only factor that plays a major part in your stressful lifestyle. In fact your diet can really affect how stressful you are. Having a poor diet that deprives your body of its essential nutrients will affect the way your body functions during the day and at night. For instance, having a poor diet affects your performance at work and the lack of performance leads to the lack of productivity. Therefore the lack of productivity not only affects your performance but it increases your stress levels. The bad decisions you made during the day in regards to your diet affects your mental state at night. Have you ever wondered why you can't sleep at night sometimes? Well maybe you have too much on your mind. but most likely it’s due to your lack of good diet choice during the day.

            When the body is stressed it produces cortisol, a stress hormone that increases the production of insulin in the body. Having a high insulin production causes your body to store more fat than usual therefore causing you to have a higher body fat percentage which in turn leads to you gaining weight. A good and healthy way to prevent increased stress in your life, is to have a good balanced diet and to exercise.

            Having a good balanced diet will allow you to stabilize your metabolism; which in turn will allow your body to maintain control of your weight by balancing your insulin levels. Besides having a good balanced diet, another way to reduce stress in your life is to exercise. Always try to exercise, no matter how simple the routine is. Exercising is not just for burning fat and building muscle, it also allows your body to change your mood. Exercising causes the brain to release certain chemicals called endorphins; these chemicals are also known as "feel-good" chemicals. So if exercising allows your body to feel-good, why is it that many of us choose not to do so? The best way to transform your life is to through health and exercising is one of the best ways to keep your body in a healthy state, not just physically but also mentally.
